Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Archie Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingpin Switz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingpin Switz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Archie Ortega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kingpin Switz!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Switz shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice sprawl there from Ortega as Switz shoots in.
Switz has a takedown stuffed.
Archie Ortega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kingpin Switz.
Switz shoots for a takedown but Ortega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ortega tries to close the distance and clinch up but Switz swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Switz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Switz is pulling down on Ortega's head to control his posture.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ortega manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Switz on his heels. He'll look to pass Switz's guard now, I'm sure.

Ortega swings around for an armbar but Switz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ortega's guard.

Ortega lands a nice looking kick to the body. Switz takes a step back to recover.

Switz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ortega pinned against the cage. Ortega gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ortega drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Switz tries to pull guard but Ortega won't allow it.
Ortega drops down looking for an ankle pick but Switz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kingpin Switz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ortega moves into the clinch successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ortega wants a takedown but no success here.

Ortega escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Switz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortega's waist but Ortega gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Switz off to one side.
Ortega has Switz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Switz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Switz prevents Ortega from breaking the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Archie Ortega will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ortega accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

I would just about give that final round to Kingpin Switz.
