The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romero has managed to clinch.

Bauer is trying to trip Romero. He has hold of a leg but Romero is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bauer persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bauer wants to get up but he can't break Romero's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bauer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Romero is pulling down on Bauer's head. It's preventing any offense from Bauer, at least for the moment.
Romero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bauer is one step ahead there.

Romero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bauer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
