Maximov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Thompson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That has opened up Oleg Maximov's cut even more.

Thompson cracks Maximov on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Maximov falls backwards against the cage. Thompson follows up with more strikes that drop Maximov to his knees. Thompson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Maximov! This one is all over!
