Nelson has chosen I Have a Dream as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Archie Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santos circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Santos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Santos lands a nice hook to Nelson's body. Nelson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Santos circles away.
Archie Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nelson gets caught flat footed, as Santos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Santos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nelson is pulling down on Santos's head to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos won't allow Nelson to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nelson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Nelson's legs - danger averted.
Santos wants to stand but Nelson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Nelson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there.
Nelson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Santos manages to get himself to full guard.

Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nelson works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nelson wants to take a breather but Santos is having none of it.
Nelson is looking to advance position but Santos won't allow it.

Nelson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work.
Nelson tries to pass to full mount but Santos defends it.
Nelson keeps trying to improve his position.

Nelson is looking for a kimura but Santos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nelson to get the leverage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Nelson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Santos could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Nelson has cracked it and Santos is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Nelson!

Archie Nelson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Atlantis logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
