McGuire's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hall of Fame ft. will.i.am. Thunstrom has chosen Prodigy - Spitfire as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunstrom throws a wild body kick that McGuire sees coming a mile off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thunstrom wants to work for an arm triangle but McGuire is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Thunstrom seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Thunstrom wants to control but McGuire is keeping him busy.
Thunstrom might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McGuire haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Thunstrom closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McGuire to the mat! McGuire manages to get full guard.
Thunstrom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGuire swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McGuire is looking to control Thunstrom's arms but Thunstrom gets an underhook and turns him. Now McGuire has his back to the cage.

Thunstrom's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thunstrom dives in for a single leg takedown but McGuire sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McGuire wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
McGuire throws a push kick but Thunstrom slaps the foot to one side.
Thunstrom throws a body punch but McGuire moves out of range.
Thunstrom has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McGuire finds it's way round the side to connect with Thunstrom's head.
