Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warren Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Brasto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren Parker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Warren Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fidel Brasto!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker works Brasto's body with a nice hook.
Parker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pitbull MMA in the buildup to the fight.
A low kick from Parker is predictable there

and Brasto counters with a shoot takedown. Parker fights it but they end up in guard.

Brasto stands up and waves to Parker to follow him.
Parker scores with a hook to the body. Brasto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Parker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brasto checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Brasto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Parker with a body shot.
Parker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brasto clobbers Parker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Parker shoots for a takedown but Brasto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Parker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Parker clinches.
Parker tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brasto avoids it.
Brasto prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warren Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parker is looking to take this one to the mat.

Parker goes for a takedown attempt but Brasto pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brasto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brasto throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Brasto tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Brasto wants to stand but Parker has his arm trapped.

Parker can't do much from the bottom here.

Brasto decides to stand back up. Brasto steps back and let's Parker get back to his feet.
Brasto throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Brasto shoots in looking for a takedown but Parker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brasto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Parker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Parker misses with a body shot
letting Brasto counter with a right hand.
Brasto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Parker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brasto misses with a double jab.

Parker clinches up with Brasto and pushes him back against the cage.
Parker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker can't get the takedown.
Brasto is trying to break free.

Brasto breaks the clinch.
Brasto dives in for a single leg takedown but Parker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brasto scores with a one two! Parker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Parker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Parker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brasto pinned against the cage. Brasto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brasto was well out of range. Poor timing from Parker.
As Parker backs off Brasto throws a huge counter combo but Parker manages to avoid it all.
Parker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parker wants it to stay on the feet.
Brasto throws a leg kick but Parker moved away.
Brasto has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Parker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Parker tries to clinch there but Brasto circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fidel Brasto dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Parker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brasto blocks a jab.
Brasto misses with a jab, cross combination.
Warren Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brasto throws a right and a left that both miss.
A jab from Brasto finds it's way through Parker's defenses.
Brasto has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Parker throws a series of punches but Brasto avoids them all with ease.
Parker blocks the body kick.
Fidel Brasto seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Brasto counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker wants to sweep but no luck.
Parker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Parker is looking for a kimura but Brasto is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parker to get the leverage.

Parker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brasto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Parker.

Parker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Parker is pressing down on Brasto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brasto is holding on for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parker is working for a kimura but Brasto is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker seems to be looking for submissions.

Parker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Brasto is looking to control Parker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brasto avoid being mounted?
Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brasto keeps working.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Parker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Brasto does a little dance to reset his feet.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Brasto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice side step and Brasto releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Parker doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brasto counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Parker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brasto checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Parker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Brasto slips a straight right by Parker.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brasto scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Brasto scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Brasto lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fidel Brasto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Parker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Brasto shoots in for a takedown but Parker shows good takedown defense.
Brasto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brasto somewhat.
Brasto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brasto is out of range.
Brasto darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brasto throws out a counter right but Parker avoids it with no problem.
Fidel Brasto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brasto ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Brasto counters with a crisp one two that drops Parker! Brasto thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Parker to his feet! Parker is in big trouble!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brasto moves in close and cracks Parker with a massive right hand! Parker, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Brasto!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fidel Brasto!
