Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vlad Putin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin tries for a takedown but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Putin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Putin thows a leg kick but Coleman checks it

and Coleman counters with a takedown into side control.
Putin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Putin wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Coleman tries to move to mount but Putin blocks the move with his legs.
Coleman cracks Putin with a big elbow.
Putin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Coleman has just dragged him back down to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Putin down.

Coleman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Putin has escaped the position, nice work there.

Coleman tries for a kimura but Putin is defending well.

Putin being controlled for a moment.
Putin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Putin is trying to get back to his feet.
Putin is letting Coleman control him for a moment.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Putin tries to bench press Coleman off him but Coleman keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Putin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Coleman asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Coleman decides to stand back up. Coleman steps back and let's Putin get back to his feet.

Coleman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Putin to the mat! Putin manages to get full guard.

Coleman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Putin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Coleman's calf.

Coleman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Coleman controls the position from side control.
Putin bucks up and tries to throw Coleman off but instead Coleman has got his back!
Putin is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Putin is trying to get back to his feet but Coleman has full control of the position and if anything, Putin has just worked his way into a worse spot.
I would not like to be Putin right now.
Coleman is trying to stick to Putin's back but Putin is turning into Coleman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Coleman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Putin.

Coleman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Putin's guard.

Coleman wants to pass the guard but Putin is keeping the position.

Coleman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Coleman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Coleman pushes down on Putin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Coleman is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Coleman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Putin to the ground. Coleman is now in Putin's guard.
Putin wants to sweep but no luck.
Coleman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Putin is keeping the position for now.
Coleman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Putin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Coleman passes into side control.
Putin is trying to buck Coleman off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Coleman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Putin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Coleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Coleman trying to mount his opponent but Putin defends it.
Coleman drops an elbow to the side of Putin's head.
Coleman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Coleman performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Coleman works his foot free and advances to mount.
Coleman lands with some strikes.
Putin is trying to stand up.

Putin throwing hammer fists to the chest of Coleman. What's that going to do exactly?

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Coleman has control of Putin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Putin regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Putin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck for Coleman with that takedown attempt.

Putin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coleman defends it easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Putin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coleman defends well.

Putin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Putin is looking for a triangle but Coleman pushes his legs off easily.
Coleman stands and throws Putin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Putin prevents Coleman from moving into mount.

Coleman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Vlad Putin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Putin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Coleman shoots in and bounces Putin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coleman scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Coleman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Putin's guard.
Putin throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Coleman manages to pass to side control.

Coleman stands up.
Putin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Coleman tries to clinch there but Putin circles away.

Coleman looking to score a takedown here. Putin is defending well but Coleman drives through and ends up in Putin's guard.

Coleman gets to his feet. Putin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Coleman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Putin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Coleman stops Putin from standing up.
Coleman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Coleman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Coleman pushes down on Putin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Coleman is taking a breather. Putin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Putin is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Coleman winds up and cracks Putin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sean Coleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Coleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
