Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dace Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Artist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artist has chosen Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff as his entrance music. The Artist will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, The Artist!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Artist lands a jab.
Wilson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

We've been hearing reports that Wilson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Artist shoots in but no luck this time.
A quick step to the side and Wilson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Artist ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Artist darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Wilson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wilson walks into a stiff left hand from Artist.
Artist is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wilson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Wilson tries to move into range but Artist moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Artist feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wilson wants to sweep here but Artist controlling him for the moment.

Dace Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Artist.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Artist throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wilson on the side of the head.
Artist takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Artist closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Artist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Artist shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Artist's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Artist comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Artist has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
