The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan misses with a hook. Ali ducked under it nicely.
Sullivan tries a head kick but it misses.
Ali tries to clinch but Sullivan is having none of it.
Sullivan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ali blocks a head kick by Sullivan.
Ali throws a right and a left that Sullivan avoids nicely.
Ali throws a series of punches but Sullivan moves out of range.
Ben Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ali is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ali lands a head kick that stumbles Sullivan and the fighters go to the mat.

It looks like Clint Sullivan has been cut.
Sullivan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ali is one step ahead there.
Ali wants to get up but he can't break Sullivan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sullivan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sullivan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sullivan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ali wanted to stand there but Sullivan had control of the position.
Ali has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ali misses with a wild combination.
Ali throws a head kick but Sullivan moves out of range.
Sullivan throws a good cross that connects.
Ali tries to clinch but Sullivan moves out of range.
Ali slips a jab and a cross from Sullivan.

Sullivan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ali but Ali pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sullivan keeps the fight on the outside.
Ali plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Sullivan throws a sloppy body shot
and Ali counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Sullivan! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
