Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Adriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Flying (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricardo Adriano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andre Flying!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flying closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Adriano tries to get to full guard but Flying has control of the leg.
Adriano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flying is working away from the top position though.
Flying prevents Adriano from improving his position.
Flying tries to pass to full mount but Adriano defends it.
Adriano is not content to let Flying control the position.
Flying is stalling here. Adriano is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Flying seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Adriano has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ground and pound from Adriano seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Flying manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Flying holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Flying is pressing down on Adriano's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Flying had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Adriano is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Flying Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Adriano's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adriano breaks Flying's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Adriano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Flying looking for a sweep. Not yet Flying, not yet.

Flying working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adriano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adriano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Adriano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Flying drives through and clinches with Adriano against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Flying has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Adriano regains guard immediately.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Flying drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flying jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Flying looks gassed!

Adriano has his foot on Flying's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flying works his way back into a safe position though.

A close round but Andre Flying will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Adriano drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Flying struggling a bit here.
Adriano trying to control the position but Flying is working away.
Flying tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Flying is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adriano thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Flying regains half guard.

Adriano wants to work for an arm triangle but Flying is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Flying wants to get back to full guard.
Adriano is looking to pass Flying's guard but actually Flying recovers to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Adriano passes Flying's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Adriano passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Flying!
Flying is looking to improve his position but Adriano isn't that keen on the idea.

Adriano is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Flying has managed to escape the submission attempt.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Flying looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Adriano! Submission of the night perhaps?
