Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Clean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberto Clean has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Clean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allan Wright!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Wright fails with the takedown
enabling Clean to counter with a crisp jab.
Good shot there by Clean.
Wright tries to move into range but Clean moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Clean throws a one two combo.

Wright closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clean to the mat! Clean manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wright is working Clean over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Wright controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Wright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clean swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wright is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wright with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wright works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Wright is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Wright wants to work for an arm triangle but Clean is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Wright moves into the clinch successfully.

Wright breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Clean comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wright swings for the body but Clean moves out of range.
Wright misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Clean.
Clean throws a right and a left that Wright avoids nicely.
Wright on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wright throws a head kick that misses
and Clean counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clean connects with a looping right hand.

Wright scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Wright looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Wright is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Wright is just content to waste time from the top position. Clean takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wright is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Clean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Clean utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wright throws a shot from downtown. Clean moves away and avoids it.
Clean lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice uppercut there from Clean.
Clean moves out of range as Wright strikes.

Wright clinches up with Clean and pushes him back against the cage.
Wright struggles to land a body shot inside as Clean controls his hands.

Wright gets a trip takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Roberto Clean will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Wright walks into a straight right hand from Clean.
We've been informed that Wright has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Clean is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Wright moves into the clinch successfully.

Wright jumps into guard, dragging Clean to the mat.
Clean preventing the sweep.
Clean wants to stand but Wright is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clean would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Wright pulls Clean in to control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wright fails with a takedown attempt.
Clean lands a jab to the nose.
Clean throws a left and a right that both miss

and Wright counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Clean!
Wright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clean keeps working.
Wright creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clean sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clean tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wright working the ground and pound but Clean is defending the strikes.
Clean struggling a bit here.
Wright laying and praying for a moment but Clean takes advantage and regains half guard.
Wright drops an elbow to the side of Clean's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wright wants to take a breather but Clean is having none of it.
Allan Wright has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wright thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clean's head.
Wright not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Clean tries to keep at a distance but Wright has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wright has picked Clean up - he's going for a ride! Wright dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wright looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clean with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wright is trying to work for a kimura but Clean is defending well.
Wright lands with a punch from half guard.

Wright is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Clean still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Clean has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Wright is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Allan Wright showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wright misses with a takedown attempt - Clean sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Clean scores with a three punch combo!
Wright is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Clean.
Clean moves into range and connects with a jab.
Clean lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Clean is just out of range.
Wright shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wright misses with a shot to the body
and Clean counters with a one-two to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clean fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wright steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Clean.
Clean lands with a right hand.
Clean is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Clean gets tackled into the cage by Wright. Wright maintains the clinch.

Wright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Clean. No joy for Wright on that attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Clean.
Wright takes a swing at Clean's ribcage but misses.
Clean lunges at Wright with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wright's hand.


Wright is rocked!
Clean shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wright eats them both and turns towards Clean to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wright is still on wobbly legs! Can Clean finish him?
Clean connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wright throws a quick inside leg kick.
Clean cracks Wright with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wright tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Clean pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wright is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Clean!
Roberto Clean spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
