PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Runar Soegaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Hari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hari is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 50 cent-I'll whip ya head boy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hari drops his hands momentarily and Soegaard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hari blocks a head kick by Soegaard.

Soegaard has managed to clinch.

Soegaard has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hari regains guard immediately.
Hari is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Soegaard dives into side control.
Hari is being controlled here.
Hari tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Soegaard controls the position.

Hari is trying to get back to his feet but Soegaard has full control of the position and if anything, Hari has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Soegaard is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Soegaard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hari is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Soegaard is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Soegaard gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Soegaard gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Soegaard apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Soegaard throws a sloppy head kick and Hari moves out of range easily.
Badr Hari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Hari wants to slow Soegaard down by chopping away at his legs.
Soegaard moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hari looks gassed!

Soegaard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Soegaard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hari for as long as he can get away with.

Hari pushes Soegaard off, looking to escape but Soegaard dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Hari is forced to tap! The fight is over!
