The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heidern dives in and grabs Medina's left leg, looking for a takedown. Medina pushes down on Heidern's head and hops out.
Medina looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Medina defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Heidern.
Medina shoots in for a takedown but Heidern shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Medina shoots for a double leg takedown but Heidern sprawls well. He's pushed Medina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Heidern feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Medina will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Heidern up against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shaun Medina will probably get the nod.

Medina can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Heidern has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Medina can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Medina would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Medina shoots in and drives through. Heidern sprawls well.
Heidern is looking to land body kicks.

Tobias Heidern comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Heidern has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
