Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brayden Reiners (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brayden Reiners has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alonzo Peters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alonzo Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brayden Reiners!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reiners forces Peters back against the cage and clinches.
Peters wants a takedown.

Peters works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Peters has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Reiners has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peters can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Reiners pulls Peters in close to his closed guard and prevents Peters from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reiners wants to get back to his feet but Peters is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Peters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reiners is striking but Peters is not phased and passes to half guard.

Reiners is positioning himself well to prevent Peters advancing to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Reiners clinches up against the cage.

Peters pulls guard successfully.
Reiners is looking to stand up but Peters won't let him.
Reiners sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peters keeping full guard, as Reiners tries to pass.

Reiners slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Reiners stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peters is looking to stand up but Reiners isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Peters trying to keep a closed guard but Reiners is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Reiners drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reiners controls the position.

Peters tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reiners wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Reiners staying calm.
Peters is trying to control Reiners's posture but Reiners avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Peters trying to remain calm as Reiners controls from the top position.
Peters is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Reiners is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Peters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Reiners fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peters, pushing him back against the cage.
Reiners is pressed up against the cage. Peters has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reiners down to the mat. Reiners avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Peters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Reiners has Peters up against the cage in a clinch.

Reiners has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Peters regains guard immediately.
Peters has a closed guard, preventing Reiners from standing up.

Reiners trying to control the position from guard on top but Peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reiners tries to free his leg and advance position but Peters is retaining full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Peters gets a double leg takedown into Reiners's guard.

Reiners has his foot on Peters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peters works his way back into a safe position though.

Peters throws a big right hand that misses.
Reiners looking for a sweep. Not yet Reiners, not yet.
Reiners pulls Peters in close to prevent any damage.

Reiners shoots in and bounces Peters off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Reiners stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Peters is trying to control the position but Reiners postures up.

Reiners prevents Peters from getting back to his feet.
Reiners passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Peters prevents Reiners from improving position.
Peters wants to control but Reiners postures up.
Peters tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Peters is trying to improve his position.

Brayden Reiners showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Reiners instigates a clinch.

Reiners gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Peters regains guard.
Reiners won't allow Peters to sweep him here.
Reiners stands and throws Peters's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Peters tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Reiners takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Reiners connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Peters tries to lock up and control but Reiners gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Peters is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
BOOM! Reiners connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Peters tries to hold on but Reiners pushes him away.
Reiners looking to control and managing it successfully.

Reiners has hold of Peters's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Peters manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reiners avoids the attempt from Peters to control.
Reiners lands a big elbow.


Peters is rocked!
Reiners has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Reiners is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Peters can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Peters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reiners loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Peters scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Reiners land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Reiners stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brayden Reiners!
