Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danyalez Selby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Farmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danyalez Selby!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farmer throws a nice looking combination but Selby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And Selby tries to counter it with a takedown but Farmer pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Selby fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farmer sprawls well initially but Selby persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Selby wants to work for an arm triangle but Farmer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Selby seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Farmer has recovered full guard.
Selby is looking to work some ground and pound but Farmer has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Selby won't allow Farmer to get back to his feet.
Selby wants to control from the top but Farmer keeps moving.
Selby slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Selby with a flurry of punches that miss.
Farmer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Selby trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Farmer wants to get back to his feet but Selby is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Farmer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Selby to the mat! Selby manages to get full guard.
Farmer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farmer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Selby leaves Farmer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Farmer sets himself, and Selby steps forward looking for the clinch! Farmer avoids it this time.

Farmer looking to score a takedown here. Selby is defending well but Farmer drives through and ends up in Selby's guard.
We've been informed that Selby has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Farmer has gone for a leg lock! Selby slips out almost immediately though and dives into Farmer's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Selby trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Selby postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Farmer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Selby, into his guard.

Selby is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Farmer frees his head nicely. Oh but Selby has switched to an armbar! Farmer is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
