Peterson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Blind Eye Halo. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Friedrich Bergfried!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Peterson !
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bergfried.
Bergfried fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Peterson sizes up Bergfried with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fighters circling - Peterson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bergfried thuds a left hand into Peterson 's body.
Peterson tries to clinch but Bergfried moves out of range.
Peterson looks for a takedown but Bergfried sprawls well.

and Peterson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

As Peterson tries to get set, Bergfried tries to push him back and clinch up but Peterson manages to avoid the attempt.
Nikolai Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bergfried counters with a leg kick.

Peterson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bergfried on his heels. He'll look to pass Bergfried's guard now, I'm sure.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Peterson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Bergfried still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Bergfried has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bergfried, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
