Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bebe Wills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bebe Wills!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wills throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Chavez counters with a stiff right hand.

Wills closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wills lands in his opponent's guard.

Wills got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chavez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wills has managed to get both his arms back between Chavez's legs - danger averted.

Chavez is really struggling to control Wills but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Wills drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wills jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wills really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chavez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wills throws his legs up looking for a submission but Chavez uses it to pass to side control.

Wills takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chavez tries to score with some ground and pound. Wills controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Chavez slips a nice elbow through Wills's hands, connecting with Wills's forehead.

Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chavez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wills with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wills tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chavez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Chavez wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Wills is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chavez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Wills is looking to take a break and control but Chavez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chavez is trying to maintain the position but Wills is very close to passing his half guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Herbert Chavez.
Well Chavez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
