Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex The Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Vos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Alex The Lion has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex The Lion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Vos!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract The Lion.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The Lion throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The Lion throws a poor cross that misses
and Vos counters with a left to the body.
Vos staying out of range there.
The Lion misses with a wild body shot.
Vos takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The Lion throws a right and a left that both miss.
The Lion falls off balance throwing a combination

and Vos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Lion's guard.
The Lion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The Lion wants to stand but Vos is controlling the position.
Vos postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vos slips nicely into half guard.
Vos is looking to stall here but The Lion recovers full guard.
Vos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Lion swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vos pushes down on The Lion's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The Lion won't allow Vos to pass to mount.
Vos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vos looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Vos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Lion doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vos.

Vos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Vos seems to be looking for submissions.
We've been hearing good reports from The Lion's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Vos trying to control the action but The Lion is working from the bottom.

Vos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Lion doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vos.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The Lion looks like he's trying to stand up.

Vos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vos is looking to advance position but The Lion won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Vos dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Vos looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vos tries to free his leg and advance position but The Lion is retaining full guard.
Jake Vos has got the better of the ground game so far.
The Lion wants to stand but Vos is controlling the position.

Vos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vos advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vos advances nicely into full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Lion has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Vos tightening his grip on The Lion, looking for the choke.
The Lion is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Vos looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! The Lion taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jake Vos!
Our winner, Jake Vos, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
