The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tompson with a hook.
Tompson tries to clinch there but Stone circles away.
Stone went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tompson moves in looking to clinch but Stone pushes him off.
Stone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Stone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tompson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands.
Nice uppercut lands for Tompson. That snapped Stone's head back.
Stone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tompson tries to clinch there but Stone circles away.
Tompson lands an overhand right.
Tompson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tom Tompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone fails with a takedown attempt.
Stone pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tompson is looking to clinch but Stone is avoiding it.
Tompson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Tompson clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone prevents Tompson from breaking the clinch.
Stone goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tompson prevents it.
Tompson working hard to break the clinch.

Tompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stone on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Tompson moves into the clinch successfully.
Tompson is trying to push Stone away but Stone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Stone tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tompson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklyn Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tompson is trying to break the clinch but Stone is controlling him.
Stone is looking to control Tompson's arms but Tompson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Stone has his back to the cage.

Tompson breaks from the clinch.
Stone takes one to the side of the head.

Stone is rocked!
BOOM! Tompson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Stone. Stone tries to recover but Tompson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Stone lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
