Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erin Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erin Jenkins has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Erin Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thor Odinson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins shoots in and drives through. Odinson sprawls well.
Jenkins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Odinson.
Odinson throws a lazy right hand but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Odinson throws a sloppy head kick and Jenkins moves out of range easily.
Jenkins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Odinson drives through and clinches with Jenkins against the cage.

Jenkins jumps guard and drags Odinson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Odinson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jenkins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Odinson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Odinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Odinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Odinson throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins moves out of range of the body kick from Odinson.
It looked like Jenkins was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Odinson has Jenkins up against the cage in a clinch.
Come on Jenkins - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Odinson wants to stall.

Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Odinson from controlling successfully.

Odinson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jenkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Odinson stands up from Jenkins's guard - Odinson perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Odinson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jenkins landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jenkins goes for a takedown attempt but Odinson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Odinson counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erin Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jenkins takes one to the chin there.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Odinson but Odinson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Odinson forces Jenkins back against the cage and clinches.
Odinson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jenkins gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Odinson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.
Odinson tries for a takedown but Jenkins manages to get underhooks.

Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Odinson is keeping the position.

Jenkins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Odinson's head.

Jenkins is really struggling to control Odinson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Jenkins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jenkins fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Odinson tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Odinson to the ground. Odinson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Odinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jenkins walks away with a smile on his face. Odinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Erin Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Odinson.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Odinson enables Jenkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Odinson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jenkins wants to control from the top but Odinson keeps moving.
Jenkins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jenkins postures up and lands a big shot to Odinson's brow.

Jenkins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Odinson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jenkins to the mat. Jenkins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jenkins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Odinson wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.

Odinson darts in and clinches Jenkins up against the cage.
Thor Odinson seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jenkins keeps control of Odinson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jenkins wants to get back to his feet but Odinson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Thor Odinson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Odinson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
