Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex McUshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Greatwich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Greatwich told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McUshin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McUshin duly obliges.

It looks like Simon Greatwich has been cut.

McUshin has managed to clinch.
McUshin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Greatwich has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McUshin lands a body shot in the clinch.
Greatwich keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McUshin's efforts to push away.
McUshin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McUshin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Greatwich has him pressed against the cage.
McUshin wants a takedown but no success here.
McUshin throws a knee to the head but misses.
Greatwich throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McUshin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Greatwich pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex McUshin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Greatwich doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Greatwich wants to sweep here but McUshin controlling him for the moment.

McUshin stops Greatwich from standing up.

Greatwich is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McUshin defends well.

Greatwich is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McUshin frees his head nicely. Oh but Greatwich has switched to an armbar! McUshin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
