Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edhar Alachnowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Tr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxim Tr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edhar Alachnowicz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maxim Tr!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alachnowicz takes a jab right on the kisser.
Tr keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tr slaps away a takedown attempt from Alachnowicz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alachnowicz pinned against the cage. Alachnowicz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alachnowicz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alachnowicz darts in looking for a takedown but Tr gets double underhooks and turns Alachnowicz into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alachnowicz has a takedown stuffed.

Alachnowicz is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Alachnowicz can't break the clinch.
Alachnowicz jumps guard but Tr stands there with Alachnowicz around his waist. Alachnowicz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Alachnowicz wants to break the clinch but can't.

Alachnowicz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tr.
Tr wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Alachnowicz throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Alachnowicz jumps guard.
Tr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alachnowicz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tr wants to control from the top but Alachnowicz keeps moving.

Alachnowicz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tr controlling from the top position.
Alachnowicz has a closed guard, preventing Tr from standing up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Alachnowicz wants to sweep here but Tr controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Tr moves into the clinch successfully.
Alachnowicz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tr backwards.
Alachnowicz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tr.
Tr has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alachnowicz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Alachnowicz breaks from the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A solid leg kick lands there for Tr.
Tr tries to clinch up but Alachnowicz circles away and keeps his distance.
Alachnowicz misses with a takedown attempt - Tr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Edhar Alachnowicz will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Tr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alachnowicz shoots in but no luck this time.
Alachnowicz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tr is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Tr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Alachnowicz on his heels. He'll look to pass Alachnowicz's guard now, I'm sure.
Tr won't allow Alachnowicz to sweep him here.
Tr controls from within his opponent's guard.
Tr looking to sit in guard and control but Alachnowicz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tr trying to keep a closed guard but Alachnowicz is proving a slippery customer.

Alachnowicz wants to get up but he can't break Tr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Alachnowicz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alachnowicz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tr is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tr wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Alachnowicz manages to pass to side control.
Alachnowicz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tr keeps working.

Alachnowicz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alachnowicz wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Tr uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Tr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Alachnowicz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Edhar Alachnowicz will probably get the nod.

Tr stands and throws Alachnowicz's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Alachnowicz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tr, pushing him back against the cage.
Alachnowicz is pushing Tr up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Tr tries to break the clinch but Alachnowicz is controlling the position.

Tr blocks an elbow strike.
Alachnowicz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tr.

Tr pulls Alachnowicz into guard.
Tr wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alachnowicz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Edhar Alachnowicz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alachnowicz wants to clinch up but Tr keeps it at a distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tr scores with a jab. Alachnowicz acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Alachnowicz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Edhar Alachnowicz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maxim Tr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
