Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Cosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cosby comes to the cage accompanied by Hikky Burr. Norman has chosen Freaks as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Norman!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman shoots in for a takedown but Cosby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cosby shoots in and gets a takedown into Norman's guard.
Cosby looking to pass the guard.
Norman wants to sweep here but Cosby controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cosby advances to half guard.
Cosby thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Norman's head.
Norman wants to control but Cosby is keeping busy.

Cosby is trying to control. Norman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Cosby seems to be working for a kimura but Norman defends the submission attempt.

Cosby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Norman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cosby is working away from the top position though.
Cosby controlling the action here.
Cosby is keen to just control but Norman is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Cosby fails to land with a series of punches.

Norman wants to clinch but Cosby slips to the side

and Cosby decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Norman's guard.
Norman keeping moving, preventing Cosby from controlling successfully.
Cosby missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Norman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cosby tries to free his leg and advance position but Norman is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Norman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cosby circles away.
Cosby keeps the fight on the outside.
A jab from Cosby misses.
Norman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cosby swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Norman counters with a shoot takedown. Cosby fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Cosby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Norman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Norman tries to clinch but Cosby is having none of it.
Cosby fails with the takedown.
And Norman tries to counter it with a takedown but Cosby pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Norman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cosby is fending him off so far but Norman persists. Nope, Cosby circles away and we're back to standing.
Bill Cosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cosby has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cosby jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Norman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Norman forces Cosby back against the cage and clinches.
Norman looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Cosby prevents the takedown attempt.
Cosby is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Cosby tries for a takedown but Norman manages to get underhooks.
Norman is trying to stall.
Norman wants a takedown.

Cosby pulls guard.

Cosby is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Norman has his hands clasped together but Cosby extends and breaks Norman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Cosby.

Bill Cosby made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I'd like to thank my sponsor, "Jello Pudding Pops."'.
In defeat, Nathan Norman stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'd like to thank the fans even though I couldn't pull off the victory, I vs'd a great opponent and I wish him all the best. I will return in better form with more skills to win.'.
