Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shia Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe has chosen (Ugly kid joe) Everything about you as his entrance music. Shia Locke could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kid Joe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shia Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kid Joe!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke throws an overhand right that lands on Joe's shoulder, as Joe tries to avoid the shot.
Joe motions for Locke to come forward. Joe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Locke connects with a crisp jab.

Joe closes the distance and clinches.
Joe swings wildly with an uppercut but Locke uses good head movement to avoid it.
Locke tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Joe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Locke's elbow.
Joe has a couple of punches blocked by Locke.

Locke misses with a knee to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Locke has Joe pushed against the cage.
Locke is trying to break the clinch but Joe has him pressed against the cage.

Locke connects with a nasty looking knee right to Joe's face.

Locke is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Locke has had enough of the clinch but Joe keeps him there for the moment.

Locke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Locke thows a body kick. Joe tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Joe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Joe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Joe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Locke quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Locke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.
Locke is trying to stand up here but Joe is controlling him well.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Locke wants to clinch up but Joe keeps it at a distance.

Well, if Joe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Locke is looking for a sweep. Joe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Locke is trying to stand back up but Joe is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Joe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Locke manages to avoid it.

Locke is trying to maintain a safe position but Joe gets an underhook and turns Locke into the cage.

Joe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Locke looks a forlorn figure.
Shia Locke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joe loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Locke scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Joe land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Joe stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kid Joe!
