Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Gomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chupaca Tralala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Gomedov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Gomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chupaca Tralala!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tralala tries to clinch up
and Gomedov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tralala throws a head kick that misses.
Gomedov throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gomedov connects with a crisp jab.
Tralala shoots in but no luck this time.
Gomedov jabs Tralala to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gomedov lands a lovely overhand right.
Gomedov connects with a nice looking jab.
Tralala tries to clinch up.
Gomedov digs a good hook to Tralala's body.
Gomedov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tralala on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tralala fails to land the takedown.

A decent looking cross lands there for Gomedov.
Gomedov is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Gomedov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gomedov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tralala backs up against the cage.
Gomedov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Tralala is rocked!
Tralala walks into a left hand.
Tralala is still on wobbly legs! Can Gomedov finish him?

Tralala rushes Gomedov and presses him up against the cage.
Tralala seems to have recovered his senses.
Tralala keeps control of Gomedov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gomedov wants to get back to striking at distance but Tralala won't allow it.
Tralala tries to pull guard but Gomedov holds him up against the cage and eventually Tralala drops back down to his feet.
Igor Gomedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chupaca Tralala.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gomedov misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gomedov misses with a punch to the body.
Tralala fails to pull guard.

Gomedov is trying to break the clinch but Tralala is controlling him.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Tralala tries to score a body lock takedown but Gomedov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Tralala decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gomedov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gomedov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tralala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gomedov has managed to get both his arms back between Tralala's legs - danger averted.
Tralala has a closed guard, preventing Gomedov from standing up.

Tralala is pulling down on Gomedov's head. It's preventing any offense from Gomedov, at least for the moment.
Gomedov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tralala on the ground.
Gomedov tries to stand but Tralala is controlling from the bottom.
Gomedov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tralala looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tralala wants to hit a switch here but Gomedov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tralala there!

Tralala is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gomedov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tralala is looking to escape.

Gomedov is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Gomedov trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Tralala gets a takedown into half guard.
Tralala wants to pass to mount but Gomedov is defending the position.
Tralala thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Tralala with the ground and pound but Gomedov uses the opportunity to regain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tralala gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Tralala avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tralala with a poor takedown
and Gomedov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A nice combination there by Gomedov.
Tralala takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tralala wants to clinch.
Tralala fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gomedov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tralala can do to turn this around?
Tralala tries to clinch up but Gomedov circles away and keeps his distance.

Tralala is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gomedov's half guard.

Gomedov is looking to escape.
Tralala seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tralala thows a huge punch but Gomedov dodges it nicely.

Tralala has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tralala tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tralala cracks Gomedov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tralala looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Tralala sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tralala with a couple of short strikes.
Tralala lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Tralala controlling the pace for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tralala has control of Gomedov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gomedov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chupaca Tralala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Gomedov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gomedov lands with a good body shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tralala or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomedov, which made it look bad.
Gomedov went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gomedov thuds his right hand into Tralala's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gomedov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tralala doesn't seem bothered though.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tralala is defended easily by Gomedov.
Tralala takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomedov tries to clinch up.
Tralala shapes to counter with a head kick.
Gomedov stalks Tralala and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tralala's face. Tralala staggers backwards, shaken.
Gomedov works the jab nicely.

Gomedov tries to bum rush Tralala with a series of wild strikes but Tralala uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tralala wants to counter with a clinch but Gomedov pushes him away.
Igor Gomedov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tralala takes one to the side of the head.
Gomedov looks for the body kick but Tralala saw that one coming.
Gomedov throws a combination that misses

and Tralala counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tralala has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gomedov defend it? Tralala steps over the head and cranks it - Gomedov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tralala!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chupaca Tralala!
