Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Caddy Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon looks for a takedown but Reid sprawls well.
Gordon shoots in and drives through. Reid sprawls well.
Reid is looking for a counter combo.
No joy there for Reid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gordon throws a sloppy head kick and Reid moves out of range easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gordon is defended easily by Reid.
Merle Reid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caddy Gordon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Merle Reid has been cut.
Reid is looking to break free of the clinch but Gordon has double underhooks.
Gordon tries to pull guard but Reid forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Reid tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Reid tries a body shot but Gordon blocks it.
Reid goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gordon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reid just stands there and leans against the cage.

Reid breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gordon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gordon is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Reid with a body shot.

Gordon looks for the body kick but Reid saw that one coming.

and Reid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gordon's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gordon thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Reid wants to stand but Gordon is controlling his posture from full guard.

Gordon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reid sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Caddy Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reid.
Gordon misses with a head kick.
Reid tries to counter by clinching up but Gordon breaks away and moves out of range.
Gordon shoots in and drives through. Reid sprawls well.
Reid will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gordon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reid avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reid throws a big counter combination but Gordon scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gordon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice sprawl there from Gordon as Reid shoots in.
Gordon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reid sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gordon somewhat.

and Reid counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reid.
Reid is trying to pull guard but Gordon has him pressed against the cage.

Reid has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gordon uses from the top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reid looking for a sweep. Not yet Reid, not yet.

Reid looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reid is looking for a triangle but Gordon pushes his legs off easily.

Gordon wants to control from the top but Reid keeps moving.

Reid has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gordon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reid.
Reid is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gordon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gordon is trying to control the action in half guard but Reid is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Reid is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gordon pulls his head out easily.

Gordon decides to stand and escape the position.
The crowd cheers as Gordon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reid doesn't seem phased though.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Gordon.
Gordon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reid pinned against the cage. Reid gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

As Reid backs off Gordon throws a huge counter combo but Reid manages to avoid it all.

Reid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gordon can do to turn this around?
Gordon is looking to clinch but Reid is avoiding it.
Gordon lands with a big left! Reid is wobbled badly! Gordon comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Reid to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
