The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ladvik misses with a jab, cross combination.

Oniel tries to clinch but Ladvik moves out of range.
Ladvik is looking to counter the offense by Oniel and move into the clinch.
Oniel's coach down at Foot Loves was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Oniel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ladvik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oniel's waist but Oniel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ladvik off to one side.
Ladvik moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Oniel is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

We've been hearing good reports from Ladvik's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
