Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Clow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Charleston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Clow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Charleston!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clow throws a sloppy head kick and Charleston moves out of range easily.

Clow moves into the clinch successfully.
Charleston throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Clow blocks it with crossed arms.

Clow lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Clow throwing shots but Charleston is blocking nicely.
Clow missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Charleston is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Charleston does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Clow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Clow looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
You can see the frustration on Charleston's face as Clow controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kyle Clow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Charleston throws a head kick but Clow moves out of range.
Charleston tries to clinch but Clow moves out of range.
Clow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Charleston manages to avoid it.

Charleston rushes Clow and presses him up against the cage.

Clow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clow misses with a takedown attempt - Charleston sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Charleston has closed the distance and engaged Clow in a clinch.

Clow is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Charleston to keep the fight standing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Charleston can do anything to dispel that myth.

Charleston parries the strikes from Clow easily there. Clow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Charleston to escape.
Clow is looking to take a break and control but Charleston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Clow is really struggling to control Charleston but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Charleston has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Charleston shoots for a double leg takedown but Clow sprawls well. He's pushed Charleston's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Charleston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clow leaves Charleston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Charleston distracts Clow with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Charleston wants to control from the top but Clow keeps moving.
Charleston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Clow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Charleston defends it easily.
Charleston lands a couple of elbows.

Clow scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Charleston has Clow up against the cage in a clinch.
Clow fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Clow manages to break the clinch.
Clow throws a head kick that misses.
Kyle Clow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Charleston closes the distance and clinches.
Charleston connects with a nasty looking knee right to Clow's face.

Clow closes the distance and clinches up with Charleston, looking for a takedown. Clow pushes Charleston against the cage but Charleston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James Charleston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Charleston has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
