The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate tries to keep at a distance but Quinn has taken the fight into the clinch.

Quinn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Quinn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Tate not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Tate could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tate working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Tate won't allow Quinn to sweep him here.

Quinn looking for a guillotine here but Tate defends easily.
Tate trying to stand up but can't free himself from Quinn's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Quinn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tate's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Quinn controls Tate momentarily but Tate frees himself.

Tate controlling from the top position.
Tate has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Quinn scores with a takedown into Tate's guard.
Tate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tate has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Quinn should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Tate has tightened it up now! Quinn should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
