Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gus Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caleah Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gus Potts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Caleah Jones!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts scores with a head kick. Jones tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Potts shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Potts fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Potts avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones lands a nice looking kick to the body. Potts takes a step back to recover.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Potts went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potts gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Potts has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones wants to control from the top but Potts keeps moving.
Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Potts napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Potts is looking to reverse the position.
Jones tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's time! Potts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Potts is defended easily by Jones.

Potts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Caleah Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones stuns Potts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Potts looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones jabs Potts right on the nose. Potts blinks but takes it well.

Potts decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!

I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
