Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuji Nagata!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nagata tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nagata to the ground. Nagata escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nagata throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nagata throws a head kick that misses.
Bear feinted with a counter takedown.
Nagata misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bear pushes Nagata up against the cage in a clinch.
Nagata is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Nagata using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bear has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nagata tries a knee to the head but Bear blocks it.
Nagata landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bear drags the fight down to the ground.
Nagata wants to stand but Bear is controlling his posture from full guard.
Nagata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bear is really struggling to control Nagata but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The cut man is working on Bobby Bear's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nagata drops Bear with a right and a left! Nagata comes rushing in but Bear regains his composure and manages to keep Nagata in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bear looking for a sweep. Not yet Bear, not yet.
Nagata pushes down on Bear's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bear is pressing down on Nagata's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bear is trying to keep Nagata in close.
Nagata distracts Bear with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bear lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bear throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bear got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nagata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bear has managed to get both his arms back between Nagata's legs - danger averted.

Nagata wants to reverse the position here. Bear has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Nagata is forced to tap! Nagata looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Bobby Bear!
