The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pozar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCurnin is fending him off so far but Pozar persists. Nope, McCurnin circles away and we're back to standing.
Pozar throws a body shot but no joy.
Pozar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting McCurnin counter with a right hand.
Pozar fails in his attempt to clinch.
McCurnin tries to counter by clinching up but Pozar breaks away and moves out of range.
No luck for Pozar with that takedown attempt.
Avery McCurnin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pozar Pozar.

McCurnin clinches with his opponent.
McCurnin blocks an uppercut.
Pozar tries to break free but McCurnin pushes him back against the cage.
McCurnin wants to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pozar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pozar scores with a takedown into McCurnin's guard.

McCurnin is looking to sweep but instead, Pozar has passed into half guard.

Pozar has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McCurnin defend it? Pozar steps over the head and cranks it - McCurnin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pozar!
