The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burt gets caught flat footed, as Kurwiec shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Burt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Burt being controlled here, momentarily.
Burt is working an open guard so Kurwiec takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kurwiec.
Burt tries to counter by clinching up but Kurwiec breaks away and moves out of range.
Burt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kurwiec decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kurwiec maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Burt could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kurwiec has cracked it and Burt is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kurwiec!
