Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yes no!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Reid!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

no gets caught napping as Reid dives in and scores a takedown. no manages to retain guard.
no tries to strike from the bottom.
Reid trying to control the position from guard on top but no is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Reid won't allow no to sweep him here.
Reid wants to pass the guard but no is keeping the position.
Reid has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Weed Nation. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Reid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. no doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. no manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reid looking for a sweep. Not yet Reid, not yet.
no sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reid's guard.
Reid wants to control but no is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reid fails to land the takedown.
no avoids the body shot from Reid.

no feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Reid has his foot on no's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. no works his way back into a safe position though.
no might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

no is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

no got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reid has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, no has managed to get both his arms back between Reid's legs - danger averted.
