Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Howard Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rage Kootz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! Li has knocked Kootz down with a huge combo! Li steps away and waves a wobbly Kootz back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Kootz is rocked!

It looks like Rage Kootz has been cut.
Li misses with a combination
and Kootz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Li's knee momentarily.
Kootz is still on wobbly legs! Can Li finish him?
Kootz blocks a head kick by Li.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kootz lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Li has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Li and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Li moves out of range as Kootz strikes.
Kootz seems to have recovered his senses.
Li looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Kootz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Li rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kootz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Li throws a jab but it's blocked by Kootz.
Kootz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Li looks for the body kick but Kootz saw that one coming.
Kootz now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Li lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kootz circles away quickly and effectively.

and Kootz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Li swings for the body but Kootz moves out of range.
Li has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kootz finds it's way round the side to connect with Li's head.

Li throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kootz.

Li on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Li throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kootz! But no joy.

Howard Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kootz counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Li bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kootz's head backwards.
Kootz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Li feinted with a counter takedown.
Li swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kootz counters with a left to the body.
Kootz misses with a head kick.
Li paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kootz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Li takes a swing at Kootz's ribcage but misses.
It seemed like Kootz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Li just misses with a punch to the body.
Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kootz feints a counter leg kick.
Li cracks Kootz with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Li swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kootz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Li lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kootz looks up at the clock. Bad move! Li lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kootz. Li pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

In his post fight interview, Howard Li started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
