Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Hamilton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Shift!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamilton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Shift controlling the position well.
Let's hope that Shift has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Shift has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hamilton is working away from the top position though.
Hamilton is tying to control. Shift wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hamilton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Shift!
Shift working to try and regain half guard.

Hamilton avoids the attempt from Shift to control.
Hamilton prevents Shift from getting the reversal.
Shift wants to get back to his feet.
Shift manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Shift wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Shift tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Shift looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Shift is trying to get back to full guard.
Hamilton wants to pass to mount but Shift is defending the position.
Shift is pressing down on Hamilton's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hamilton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shift dives on top into guard.
Shift trying to control the position from guard on top but Hamilton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hamilton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shift manages to get himself to full guard.
Shift is looking to stand up but Hamilton isn't so interested in that idea.
Hamilton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shift swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Shift wants to sweep but no luck.
Shift has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hamilton has passed into side control.
Shift is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Shift looks gassed!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hamilton wants to control but Shift is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cameron Hamilton will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Hamilton shoots in and drives through. Shift sprawls well.
Shift misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shift closes the distance and clinches.

Shift manages to break the clinch.
Shift has his takedown stuffed

and Hamilton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hamilton.
Shift really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamilton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shift throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Shift pulls Hamilton in close to prevent any damage.
Shift is breathing heavily.

Shift looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hamilton has picked Shift up and slammed him! Shift can't keep hold of the triangle and Hamilton manages to pass to side control!

Shift is looking for a sweep.
Shift tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hamilton easily slips into full mount!
Hamilton is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Shift is in real trouble.

Shift showing good submission defense here.
Shift is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hamilton lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hamilton.
Shift wants to control his opponent's hands but Hamilton gets his hands free.

Hamilton looking for the choke from the back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I really don't envy Shift right now.
Shift is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Hamilton is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Shift is tapping out! This one is all over!
