The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gold tries to sprawl but Hartman drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Hartman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gold doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hartman.
Gold tries to get to full guard but Hartman has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hartman passes the guard and advances to mount!
Hartman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Hartman manages to capitalize on a mistake by Gold to take his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gold just trying to survive but Hartman is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Hartman is looking for the choke from the back position but Gold is controlling his hands well.

Hartman is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gold is defending well though. Hartman let's go of the attempt for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hartman has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Gold is defending well but eventually Hartman manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Gold has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
