The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush shoots in but no luck this time.
Warycki lands a glancing blow to the side of Rush's head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rush has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Warycki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rush tries to avoid it but Warycki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rush to the ground. Rush escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Warycki closes the distance and clinches up with Rush, looking for a takedown. Warycki pushes Rush against the cage but Rush circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Warycki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rush is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Rush might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Warycki haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
