PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elton Mccoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccoy on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Thompson closes the distance and pushes Mccoy back into the cage.

Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fighters circle momentarily. Thompson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sloppy strikes from Thompson. Those never looked like landing.
A decent looking cross lands there for Thompson.
Mccoy dives in and grabs Thompson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes down on Mccoy's head and hops out.
Thompson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Thompson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Thompson closes the distance and clinches.
Thompson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Thompson has had enough of the clinch but Mccoy keeps him there for the moment.
Thompson tries to break the clinch but Mccoy is controlling the position.
Thompson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mccoy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thompson smiles and moves away.

Mccoy darts in and clinches Thompson up against the cage.
Mccoy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mccoy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elton Mccoy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
