Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Alvarez Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez Jr comes into a darkened arena with his song building. LL COOL J MOMMA SAY KNOCK YOU OUT kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez Jr misses with a hook
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
Alvarez Jr moves into range and connects with a jab.
Silva takes a swing at Alvarez Jr's ribcage but misses.
Alvarez Jr scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Tyron Silva has been cut.

Alvarez Jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Alvarez Jr is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silva tries to kick Alvarez Jr off but Alvarez Jr keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
Alvarez Jr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez Jr is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Silva is hurt! He's hurt bad - Alvarez Jr fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Silva from any more punishment! Congratulations to Alvarez Jr! Great finish!

George Alvarez Jr opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
