The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boycheck goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Clifford Smith has been cut.
Boycheck throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.
Boycheck looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely.

Boycheck lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily.

And Smith tries to counter it with a takedown but Boycheck pushes his down on his head and steps out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boycheck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Boycheck wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smith, who protects the arm well.

Boycheck fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.

Smith swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Boycheck throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Mitka Boycheck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boycheck stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
Boycheck shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A relieved looking Mitka Boycheck thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
