Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sa Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pinto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Grande Sá. Joey Don has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sa Pinto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sa Pinto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joey Don!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pinto looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Pinto drops back looking for a leg! Don is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Don manages to kick Pinto off! Pinto jumps back into Don's guard.
Don throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pinto postures up.
Pinto prevents Don from getting back to his feet.
Pinto stays in close to Don's body and controls the position.
Don looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Don looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pinto is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Don tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pinto defends well and Don ends up having to push Pinto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Pinto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pinto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Don darts in looking for a takedown but Pinto gets double underhooks and turns Don into the cage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pinto in particular looking to stall.

Pinto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Don defends it well.

Pinto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Don's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pinto slows the pace down in half guard.
Pinto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Don does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pinto is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Don sees it coming and defends easily.

Pinto seems to be looking for submissions.

Don unloads with some shots from mount but Pinto bucks and avoids them well.

Don is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pinto has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pinto!

Sa Pinto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pinto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Don but Don pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pinto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Don is working away from the top position though.

I think Pinto has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
