Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Lukottaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Pat Sumrall has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumrall doesn't manage to clinch there - Lukottaja circles away.
Sumrall lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lukottaja stuffs the takedown attempt from Sumrall. Sumrall gets slowly back to his feet.
Sumrall shoots in but Lukottaja avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sumrall fails with the takedown.

Lukottaja misses with a low kick.

Lukottaja shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lukottaja stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sumrall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sumrall wants to stand and escape but Lukottaja is having none of it.
Lukottaja wants to control from the top but Sumrall keeps moving.

Sumrall tries to clinch there but Lukottaja circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sumrall gets the takedown into side control.
Sumrall is breathing heavily.
Lukottaja manages to get back to half guard.
Lukottaja is trying to control but can't.
Sumrall tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lukottaja knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Lukottaja wants to control but Sumrall is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sumrall works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Lukottaja trying to hold on to Sumrall's head to control him but Sumrall postures up.
Lukottaja slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lukottaja is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lukottaja is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sumrall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lukottaja.
Sumrall wants to get back to full guard.

Sumrall is not content to let Lukottaja control the position.
Lukottaja uses his free foot to push down on Sumrall's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sumrall.
Sumrall is squirming around, avoiding Lukottaja's attempts to control the action.

Lukottaja is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sumrall has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lukottaja can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sumrall is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No joy there for Sumrall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
