Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce comes to the cage accompanied by Bulls on Parade - Rage Against The Machine. John Doe will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doe lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bruce will feel that in the morning.
Doe scores with a nice head shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Doe is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Doe tries to break free but Bruce pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Doe.
Doe tries to throw a body punch but Bruce avoids it by throwing Doe back against the cage.
Doe prevents a body shot from Bruce.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doe misses with a punch on the inside.

Bruce lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bruce digs a right hand underneath Doe's ribcage. Doe let out a lung full of air as it connected.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bruce creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Doe is looking to control Bruce's arms but Bruce gets an underhook and turns him. Now Doe has his back to the cage.
Bruce tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Bruce works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Bruce lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Doe has picked Bruce up - he's going for a ride! Doe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bruce might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Doe tries to free his leg and advance position but Bruce is retaining full guard.

Doe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Doe has gone for a leg lock! Bruce slips out almost immediately though and dives into Doe's guard.

Bruce tries to stand but Doe is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bruce advances position into side control!
Doe manages to get back to half guard.
Doe felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Bruce tries to stand and escape but Doe is controlling the position.

Doe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bruce pulls his head out easily.
Bruce is keen to just control but Doe is a slippery customer.

Bruce is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Doe defends it well.

Bruce is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doe sees it coming and defends easily.

Bruce is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bruce trying to control the action but Doe is working from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bruce slips under a jab from Doe.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bruce tries to close the distance and clinch but Doe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Doe gets tackled into the cage by Bruce. Bruce maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Bruce dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Doe was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Doe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bruce.
Bruce looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Doe throws a solid leg kick but Bruce takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Doe.

Bruce moves out of range of the strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Doe. Bruce does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bruce seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Doe throws a chopping leg kick but Bruce manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Doe counters with a good, hard body kick but Bruce shrugs it off.
Doe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bruce sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bruce wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

A punch lands to the side of Bruce 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bruce tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bruce looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Doe takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Doe swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bruce is now in Doe's guard. A big mistake from Doe there, giving up the dominant position!

John Doe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Doe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Doe shoots in looking for a takedown but Bruce manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Doe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
