Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lavern Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lavern Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaron Baxter!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flores moves into the clinch successfully.

Baxter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Flores wants to clinch
and Flores takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A head kick by Flores misses

and Baxter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Baxter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Flores is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Baxter preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flores is looking to take a break and control but Baxter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Flores is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Baxter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Flores slows the pace down in half guard.
Baxter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Flores.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flores is trying to control. Baxter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Flores trying to control from half guard but Baxter is working away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Flores moves in looking to clinch but Baxter pushes him off.
As Flores backs off Baxter throws a huge counter combo but Flores manages to avoid it all.

Flores gets a clinch.
Baxter stops a takedown attempt from Flores.

Baxter manages to pull guard.
Flores has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Baxter looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Flores trying to control the position from guard on top but Baxter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Flores controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Flores wants to control from the top but Baxter keeps moving.

Baxter kicks Flores off and gets to his feet.

Baxter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flores manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Flores is not content to let Baxter control the position.

Baxter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Flores really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Flores's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Baxter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baxter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The referee asks Baxter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Baxter prefers to stall for the moment though.
Baxter lands some shots froms side control.

Flores is looking for a sweep.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Baxter is trying to get an arm triangle but Flores is defending well.

Baxter tries to advance to mount but Flores denies him.
Baxter remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Baxter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flores keeps working.
Aaron Baxter has got the better of the ground game so far.

Baxter tries to move into full mount but can't pass Flores's legs.
Flores gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Well, if Baxter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Flores gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Baxter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Flores will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Baxter wants to control from the top but Flores keeps moving.

Aaron Baxter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Flores clinches up with Baxter and pushes him back against the cage.

Baxter has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Flores is on him like a limpet, forcing Baxter back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baxter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Flores is looking to clinch.
Lavern Flores is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Flores tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baxter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Flores tries to clinch there but Baxter circles away.

Flores tries to sprawl but Baxter drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Baxter wants to control from the top but Flores keeps moving.
Baxter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Baxter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Flores controls Baxter momentarily but Baxter frees himself.

Flores is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Baxter holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Baxter is controlling Flores's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Aaron Baxter is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I've got Baxter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
