Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chancelor Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bennett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smoke Again. Adam Evans has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chancelor Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Evans!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans darts in looking for a takedown but Bennett gets double underhooks and turns Evans into the cage.
Bennett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Evans has time to react.
Bennett feints a jab promting Evans to slip. Bennett then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Evans slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Evans on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bennett plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bennett scoring well with a low kick there.
Evans shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bennett pinned against the cage. Bennett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice sprawl there from Bennett as Evans shoots in.
Chancelor Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Evans.
No joy there for Bennett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bennett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Evans on the side of the head.
Evans takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bennett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.

Bennett lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Bennett feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Evans's calf.

Bennett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Evans changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Evans slips a jab and a cross from Bennett.

Bennett tries to bum rush Evans with a series of wild strikes but Evans uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bennett gets caught napping as Evans dives in and scores a takedown. Bennett manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Evans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bennett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Bennett has wrist control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bennett lands a slapping body shot.
Chancelor Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Evans shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bennett defends it nicely.

Evans fails with a takedown attempt.
Bennett throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bennett scores with a hook to the body. Evans takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bennett scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Bennett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bennett slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Evans on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Evans takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bennett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.
Evans closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bennett scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


Evans is rocked!
Bennett jabs Evans right on the nose. Evans blinks but takes it well.
Evans is still on wobbly legs! Can Bennett finish him?
Bennett connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Evans tumbling to the canvas! Bennett pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Evans was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chancelor Bennett!
Our winner, Chancelor Bennett, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
