Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Reva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Killjoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reva comes to the cage accompanied by Hopeless Wanderer. Alexander Reva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Killjoy!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reva swats away the attempt to clinch by Killjoy.
Reva swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Killjoy drives through and clinches with Reva against the cage.
Killjoy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Reva misses with a hook from the clinch.
Reva works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Killjoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reva lunges at Killjoy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Killjoy's hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reva misses with a hook. Killjoy ducked under it nicely.
Reva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Kevin Killjoy has been cut.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reva is defended easily by Killjoy.
Killjoy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reva was well out of range. Poor timing from Killjoy.
Reva cracks Killjoy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Killjoy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Killjoy lands with an overhand left.
Reva throws a lazy right hand but Killjoy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Reva swats away the attempt to clinch by Killjoy.

Killjoy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Killjoy wants a takedown but no success here.
A head punch on the inside from Killjoy fails to land.
Killjoy fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Reva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Killjoy misses with an uppercut
and Reva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Killjoy scores with a push kick.
Reva scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Killjoy doesn't seem bothered though.
Reva dives in for a single leg takedown but Killjoy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
As Reva backs off Killjoy throws a huge counter combo but Reva manages to avoid it all.

A head kick misses from Killjoy.
A lazy body kick from Killjoy
and Reva counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Reva takes a jab right on the kisser.

Reva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Reva content to control rather than advance.
Reva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killjoy keeps working.

Reva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Reva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Reva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reva wants to pass to mount but Killjoy is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killjoy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A quick step to the side and Reva tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alexander Reva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reva goes for a double leg but Killjoy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Killjoy continues to drive forward.
Reva sets himself, and Killjoy steps forward looking for the clinch! Reva avoids it this time.
Reva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Killjoy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Reva to keep the fight standing.
Killjoy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reva smiles and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I was talking to Reva's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reva, as that shot connected.
Killjoy avoids the body shot from Reva.
Reva throws a body shot but no joy.
Reva misses with an uppercut.
Killjoy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Killjoy has closed the distance and engaged Reva in a clinch.
Killjoy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Reva to keep the fight standing.

Killjoy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reva uses from the top position.

Donk. Reva catches Killjoy right on the button with a cross.
Killjoy tries to clinch up but Reva circles away and keeps his distance.
Killjoy avoids the body shot from Reva.
A little jabbing left from Killjoy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Reva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Killjoy. Killjoy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Killjoy clinches up against the cage.
Killjoy throws a head punch that misses.
Killjoy jumps guard but Reva stands there with Killjoy around his waist. Killjoy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Killjoy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reva walks away with a smile on his face. Killjoy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alexander Reva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Killjoy.
A jab from Killjoy misses.
Killjoy tries a head kick but it misses.
Reva was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
A big left from Reva misses.
Killjoy throws out a counter right but Reva avoids it with no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Killjoy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nice uppercut lands for Reva. That snapped Killjoy's head back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
