The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heeta takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hanson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Heeta has a takedown stuffed.
Heeta moves out of range of the strikes.
Heeta attempts a counter takedown but Hanson avoids it well and moves away.
Heeta keeps the fight on the outside.

Heeta darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hanson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Heeta pulls his head out easily.

Heeta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hanson is just riding it out for now. Heeta eventually gives up the hold.

Heeta looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hanson is trying to maintain the position but Heeta is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Heeta moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Hanson.
Heeta tries to get to his feet but Hanson is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Heeta in his guard.

Heeta is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Heeta wants to control from the top but Hanson keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hanson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Heeta has picked Hanson up and slammed him! Hanson can't keep hold of the triangle and Heeta manages to pass to side control!

Heeta is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hanson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Heeta has hold of Hanson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hanson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Heeta cranks the arm and Hanson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hanson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
