Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tahi Toru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory OReilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tahi Toru has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toru wants to clinch but OReilly slips to the side
and OReilly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

OReilly gets in close and instigates a clinch.

OReilly successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Toru got a little sloppy there for a moment and OReilly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Toru has managed to get both his arms back between OReilly's legs - danger averted.

Toru avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Toru has gone for a leg lock! OReilly slips out almost immediately though and dives into Toru's guard.

OReilly must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Toru is looking for a triangle but OReilly pushes his legs off easily.

OReilly drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and OReilly jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Toru wants to stand up but OReilly is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

OReilly is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

OReilly is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
OReilly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Toru misses with a takedown attempt - OReilly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Toru looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Toru throws a wild body kick that OReilly sees coming a mile off.
OReilly throws a sloppy head kick and Toru moves out of range easily.
Toru tries to counter by clinching up but OReilly breaks away and moves out of range.

Toru wants to stand but OReilly is controlling his posture from full guard.

OReilly looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

OReilly has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Toru should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, OReilly has tightened it up now! Toru should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
