PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Starner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Radar Salter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Radar Salter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Starner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Salter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Starner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salter was covering up waiting for the punch and Starner finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Starner is working Salter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Salter manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Salter takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Salter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Starner asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Starner scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Salter is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Starner can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
